Exit Seven is a free app that helps people quit 7-OH. It is made by Midnight Modulations ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Exit Seven app and the exitseven.app website.
The short version
We don't collect your data. The app has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
What the app stores, and where
Exit Seven stores the information you enter only on your device:
- Quit clocks and streak history
- Dose logs and taper plans
- Check-ins, symptom ratings, craving diary entries, and your reasons for quitting
- Settings, such as reminder times, app lock, and discreet mode
- The name and phone number of one trusted contact, if you choose one
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, recover it, or delete it for you.
What we collect
Nothing. Exit Seven does not:
- Require an account, email address, or phone number
- Use analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising services
- Track you across apps or websites
- Sell or share data with anyone
Device features the app uses
- Notifications: reminders are scheduled on your device. Their text never mentions 7-OH.
- Face ID or Touch ID: if you turn on app lock, iOS handles the check. The app never receives your face or fingerprint data.
- Contacts: if you choose a trusted contact, you pick one phone number with Apple's contact picker. The app never gets access to your full contacts.
- Messages: the "Text [contact]" button opens Messages with a prefilled note. You choose whether to send it.
Sharing with your doctor
If you export a report, the app creates a PDF on your device and opens the share sheet. It goes only where you send it.
Backups
Your phone's own backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup) may include Exit Seven's data, under Apple's terms and your backup settings. Exit Seven does not use iCloud sync.
Deleting your data
Delete the app to delete all of its data from your phone. Removing it from your backups is managed in your device settings.
Links to other services
The app and website link to outside resources, such as SAMHSA, 988, treatment programs, telehealth providers, and community groups. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Donations are handled by Ko-fi under its own terms, and we only see what Ko-fi shares with creators.
Stories you send us
If you email us your story for the Stories page, we use your email only to consider publishing your story. We publish only the story text, never your name or email address. Ask us anytime and we'll delete your email and remove your story.
The website
exitseven.app does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security, under its own policy.
Children
Exit Seven is intended for adults 18 and older.
Not medical advice
Exit Seven is a self-help tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a licensed clinician. In an emergency, call 911.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
